Getting to Yamadasan Hotel Madarao is painless with the Bullet train or Shinkansen arriving in Iiyama City Station from Tokyo in 110 minutes this is not only a great way to travel to Madarao but a real experience.

Does Yamadasan Hotel have a restaurant

Yamadasan Hotel has its own restaurant the Valley View Restaurant open daily serving a mixed Japanese and western menu.

Breakfast: 7am until 9am

Dinner: 6pm until 8pm

The Yamadasan Hotels very own Ski and sports bar the CAB360

Featuring: Japanese Whiskies, Gin’s and Saki and great bar menu of Japanese and western favorites

open daily from 4pm until late

Every afternoon the CAB360 hosts Apres ski and happy hour inthe bar with happy hour from 4pm until 6pm daily. Check with reception to make sure you don’t miss out on sushi and sake Apres ski and other featured specials. we encourage our guest to come down to the bar and mingle over some great food and drink.

What’s for Dinner

The Valley View Restaurants dinner menu has a selection traditional Japanese dishes and your favorite western cuisine options and features nightly specials and our homemade soups are a great way to start off your meal. The menu also caters to our younger guests with a small selection of kid friendly options. The Chef will accommodate any dietary or food allergy requirements we ask you please notify us before arrival so we can ensure we can meet your needs.

We accept all major credit cards and Yen at point of purchase. Please note Madarao Mountain does not have an ATM/cash machine the closest machine is in Iiyama City approximately 30-minute drive away we suggest you plan accordingly.

Is your Hotel child-friendly?

Here at Yamadasan we are child and family friendly and have a cot and a baby seat available for use at no extra charge. The restaurant also caters to our younger guests with a small selection of kid friendly options.

International mobile service. Will my Australian phone work with you?

Your Australian mobile phone will only work in Japan if you have contacted your service provider and make arrangements to activate international roaming.

Japan has very good free Wi-Fi in most locations and utilizing Facebook Messenger or other such apps facetime and phone call functions you can communicate and keep up with family and friends

Do I need a power adaptor?

Japan runs on 110 volts this means if your country runs on different voltage none of your devices or electrical products will work without an adaptor/transformer. You can purchase them in travel and luggage shops both in your home country as well as Japan.

My wife says I’m a terrible skier. Would you suggest travel insurance?

Yamadasan highly recommends all our guest acquire travel insurance. Australian health insurance policies and Medicare won’t cover you in other countries should you experience a medical event that requires hospitalization or attention at a local medical center.

Travel Insurance can also cover things like dental cover, flight cancelation and ticket changes, replacement of lost or stolen luggage and personal liability.

Don’t risk it. Get it before you hit the slopes.
