Yamadasan Ski Lodge provides families, large groups, couples and adventure seekers of all ages affordable, quality Madarao accommodation –  within some of Japan’s best ski country. We run a 9 room Ski Lodge on beautiful Madarao Mountain.

Our aim is to welcome guests with hospitality in our lodge-style accommodation.

Meet Your Lodge Hosts

Kayla & Anthony

Anthony and Kayla, hosts of Yamadasan Ski Lodge for the 2026 season, smiling together at Disneyland Tokyo.Kayla and Anthony are the friendly duo managing Yamadasan Ski Lodge this season. Currently on working holidays in Japan, they’re soaking up the culture, food, art, and alpine lifestyle — and bringing loads of energy and warmth to the lodge along the way.

This is their first time running a ski lodge, but between them they’ve had snowy adventures in places like Niseko, Yuzawa, and back home in Australia. Kayla brings a background in customer service, a love of people, and a hands-on, creative spirit. Anthony’s passions include motorbikes, photography, and making guests feel right at home — even if he still claims he’s not the best skier.

Together, they’re here to make your stay as comfortable, welcoming, and memorable as possible. Be sure to say hi — they’re always up for a chat and happy to help with anything you need.
