Madarao Mountain Lodge – The Lodge Café
Madarao Mountain Lodge and its Café are owned and operated by Mark and Mayuko Abe Stahnke and their daughter Hanako.
You get the best of both worlds at the Lodge Café. Abe is Japanese and an amazing chef, Mark is Australian and with the help of Hanako and some great staff, looks after the dining room and bar. The family welcome you into their family friendly lodge for a truly fantastic evening of great food and an atmosphere that will not disappoint.
This is one of Madarao’s must try restaurants! It features a menu with traditional Japanese and Western options all prepared by Abe, using local fresh ingredients and mountains of love. They also offer a comprehensive beverage menu with some great cocktails, Japanese whisky, Saki as well as fresh tea and coffee.
The Lodge Café is one of Madarao’s worst kept secrets so we highly recommend you book in advance which our Yamadasan staff are more than happy to assist you with.
